Pastor Mary Beth Cheeseman is an Elder in the United Methodist Church in the West Ohio Annual Conference. She was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, where she currently resides with her husband, Jeff, whom she has been married to for 45 years.
They are the parents of two beautiful daughters, Andrea and Mallory, and sons-in-law, Will and John. They have two wonderful grandchildren – Isla, eight years old, and Miles, who is three. They also have two very spoiled dogs: Maddie, a yellow lab, and Marlie, a Pyrador.
Pastor Mary Beth graduated from United Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in Divinity in 2018. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in organizational leadership. She worked as a nurse for twenty-seven years, as a chaplain for eleven years in a long-term care Facility, and has been appointed to the church ministry for the past seven years. She has been serving at Bellbrook UMC since 2022.
Her passions are missional ministry, children and youth, and discipleship. She enjoys helping people grow in their faith, discern their God-given gifts, to share the good news of the Gospel. Her favorite scriptures are Psalm 121, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-10, and Jeremiah 17:7-8.
Pastor Mary Beth and Jeff enjoy playing golf, hiking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She also appreciates reading and baking cookies, which can be a dangerous hobby to have, because someone must eat all the baked goods! Their favorite TV shows to watch are Ghosts, Survivor, Matlock, and Leanne.
Her deepest desire as a United Methodist Pastor is to help everyone know that they are a beloved child of God.
