Sometimes our little town glows in ways you only notice after dark. I grew up in the Methodist church and even took my wedding vows there. They offered comfort and understanding when my father passed, then again when my mother did. My childhood, young adulthood, Scouts, and even my children’s first steps into education — thanks to Mary Graves and her preschool — all passed through these doors. Times have changed — audio‑visual and internet broadcasts, a busy community room — but the heart has remained the same. Times of joy, moments of tears — like church communities all over this great nation, they were there when families needed them. It’s been a part of Bellbrook and Sugarcreek for over 200 years. Bellbrook has had its ups and downs, but our faith community, expressed in our many churches, has always been part of the fabric that holds us together.
